Andrew H Kamara Jr.
Chair
Andrew Kamara is the Vice President of Operations at Edesia Nutrition, and in 2012 co-founded Ponka Academy with Navyn Salem. He lives in Rhode Island with his wife Kristine and their children, and returns to his home country of Sierra Leone often.

Vice Chair
In 2009 Navyn set out to help end the crisis of global malnutrition by founding Edesia, a U.S. non-profit, social enterprise, with a mission to treat and prevent malnutrition in developing countries worldwide. Since 2010, Edesia has reached more than 25 million children in over 60 countries. She is a 2014 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a 2022 recipient of the John P. McNulty Prize.
Kristine Kamara
Secretary/Treasurer
Kristine is a teacher at Stony Lane Elementary School in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Kristine has a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, and a Master's degree in Special Education. She lives in North Kingstown, RI with Andrew and their 3 children: Drew, Amina and Ayla.
